Camwhore Nation 4: Christmas Series 2

12:18PM – Camwhore Nation 4: Christmas Series is starting and accepting booking immediately this day of November 28 2011 up to December 20th 2011. Fun fashion open shoot for everybody giving you a bang for the buck photography with Cardinal Scene Studio. So what are the mechanics and information on joining the month end project?

• This project was created to promote self-confidence among individuals who wants to achieve high-end fashion photography with a minimalistic approach, how is that? You bring your most precious wardrobes and we (Cardinal Scene) will make a theme / concept out of them. Like the ad campaign above. (Christmas Themed).
• Our aim is to make you a better model and build that confidence for yourself by also teaching you how to deliver your great poses.
• We are not strict on whoever joins the project, everyone deserves a great photograph!
• Ever wondered that you have a good looking dress / apparel that you can’t wear outside because you are ashamed or lack the confidence to strut it? well? here is the solution for you.

Pricing and booking rate is flat PHP 1000. So what will you get with this?

• 2-3 Hours of Unlimited Photo Coverage in our studio
• 15 Photo edits (Digitally Enhanced Poster Type Editing, like the one above).
• 1 A4 Print and 3 4r Print.
• Maximum number of persons per booking is 3 persons only.
• Make up artist is an optional addition. (If you book ahead of time. We can also contact our makeup artist ahead of time.)
• This is a month end project, on our side. We love our clients so we do this at a discounted rate from our original price of Php3000 just to achieve something like this. You just need to book for only Php1000.

The Beauty of One Light Portrait

02:25AM – It is the simple things that can make an image wonderful. This is my cousin Katrina and I took this photograph just before her debut birthday last 2009. Katrina is a born model without so much effort on posing for the camera. I did several location for her to take the position for the shot. The first image above is lit using a standard tungsten light with a reflector bowl. It is actually a natural lighting approach as I did not used any flash and just used the spot metering for the image. The dramatic look gave the depth and definition for the shot.

Katrina have a long straight black hair and fine set of legs to compliment the shot above. It is as simple as it can be, the approach is lit using a single shoot through umbrella with a Nikon SB900 mounted using the CLS mode. I am  not so much fond of elements in the shot, I see to it that the subject pops out the best, as you can see there is nothing in the shot but Kat, the chair and the background.

Catching HDR sunset

11:10PM – This was taken two days ago. It was nearing a 6pm sunset at my grandfather’s backyard farm. The scene was amazing as always I did not waste my time and took the scenery of the sunset within the rice fields. I got back in the farm because I was getting stressed back in the city and no way my fiancé can spare time with me because she is busy with her internship. It was my cousin’s birthday so I decided to visit her and spend the time with my relatives. We had a lot of fun during that time. If you have spare time to give feedback on my works I will be glad. A New Beginning

Since we are nearing the end of the year, we are revamping the site to new approaches and original content.
This blog will serve as the main portfolio storyboard for Cardinal Delos Reyes, with the arrival of new photo storage websites and such, we are proud to say that we are hosting using Google+. I officially dished out FB and avoided using their poor compression quality on images. Oh well we will still see improvements or whatsoever. I will continue to be all original and no other nonsense included. Photographic Works are the ones which will be mostly the center of the blog's heart.
